November Newsletter from Iron Realms Entertainment
Greetings from the
worlds of Iron Realms! The month of October saw many developments in our
various realms, as well as Player Appreciation Week, our way of further
thanking all of you for your continued
and dedicated support. We really do appreciate
you! November is already starting with a bang, new features being introduced
across all the lands. Read on to
discover what intriguing developments have been unleashed in each world.
Imperian
It has been a busy month for Imperian, as well as a record-breaking one! Thanks to the dedication of various mortal builders, as well as the insane amount of time put in by Seki, the immortal in charge of building, many new areas have been added to the world. The tireless work of those involved has resulted in more than a
thousand rooms and eight hundred new mobiles, all fresh for quests,
hunting, and taming. This is the single largest release of areas and
rooms in the history of Iron Realms Entertainment! This brings Imperian up to a rather astounding total of more than 15000 rooms, allowing for months of exploration and investigation, as well as countless quests to enjoy.
The second brand new feature heralds the Age of
Professions. Professions allow people to learn the skills of multiple guilds in their circle, either magick, demonic or anti-magick based. Requiring either joining a guild or finding a
mentor, this new system means that people can now learn new skills
without losing their current ones or having to leave their guild, allowing people to switch between professions at will. Rumour has it that this is the first step to allowing players to form their very own guilds, complete with guild-halls, tutors, and ranks!
In this month's inter-organisation combat, Khandava managed to once more beat its competitors to win the services of Foreman Rozri for another month. Along with a quiz, a scavenger hunt, and the upcoming 24-hour PK event this weekend, plenty of people have been happily winning credits from the extraordinarily wealthy Timas, Master of Games. With the potential player-initiated formation of new
guilds, an upcoming event, and many more plans in store, Imperian is the place to be!
Achaea
Early in the month of October in Achaea, a devastating strike orchestrated by the combined forces of the city-states Ashtan, Shallam, and Eleusis hammered all three of the Icons of the great Houses of Mhaldor into naught but dust, each of the attacking cities operating in concert for varied motivations despite the ancient enmity between Ashtan and Shallam. Despite its recent displays of power, the City of Evil fought valiantly but proved that it was yet no match against such a massive cooperative venture. Elsewhere in the sphere of combat, many changes towards the improved combat balancing of Achaea's classes were implemented, including but not limited to changes and new abilities within the Chivalry, Devotion, Necromancy, and Apostasy skills. Two systems based on the principle of mutual consent called Friends and Rivals were released, with various benefits and implications for both friendships and rivalries. Finally, a rare and eldritch convergence of constellations unveiled the time of "Mayaween", when the borders between the spirit realm and the prime material plane weaken and strange, ghastly creatures roam the land, especially within an infamous haunted manor that only appears on the prime material plane during Mayaween.
Lusternia
Lusternia celebrates its two-year anniversary! During the anniversary celebrations, the bard archetype was released. Four bard guilds, each with a unique specialisation were founded throughout the month: the Harbingers Guild of Glomdoring; the Cacophony Guild of Magnagora; the Spiritsingers Guild of Serenwilde; and the Cantors Guild of New Celest. In further news, a new area was discovered during a volcanic eruption: Mount Zoaka in the Razines, within which were found a clan of dracnari
who live among the lava pools, raising wyverns and protecting a great secret of their race. Also, aetherspace got more interesting with the release of the Aetherspace Trading System, a new feature that enables aetherships to trade with the infamous gnome merchants.
Aetolia
The month of October was particularly eventful for Aetolia, due to the return of the Midnight Age Carnival! Along with the usual Dwarf-dunking booths, exotic foods, and hard alcohol, there were also a host of competitions. A crafting design contest, a storytelling contest, a history quiz, a starfall competition, and a whole host of arena events resulted in thousands of credits in prizes given away. Meanwhile, the controversial return of Haern, God of the Hunt, to the realms was not long before the Aetolian bicentennial! Two hundred years have passed in the world of Aetolia, and players are excited to see what the next two hundred will bring.
In closing we would once again like to thank our loyal customers for their continuing support. Through you we have been able to create the best, most intriguing virtual worlds to be found on the internet. We are looking forward to the coming month with exciting events, changes and developments, which we
cannot wait to share with all our players!
Sincerely,
Matt Mihály CEO, Iron Realms Entertainment
