7.23.1 How to select and purchase furniture

Furniture selection has so many options, so many details! Fortunately, the
furniture showroom, conveniently located in DELOS adjacent to the Delosian
Crafters Union offices, is there to help you through this exciting and

Commands while in the furniture showroom area
---------------------------------------------
BUY FURNITURE - this will purchase the item. You'll have it
in your hands if the purchase succeeds.
REMEMBER - reminds you what your order looks like.
REQUEST <type> [<opt> ... ] - start off picking stool, table, whatever,
with opt being any other options from any
list, such as material, style, etc.
REQUEST CANCEL - clears your order completely.
SPECIFY <category> <opt> - add detail to your order by specifying
materials, coverings, linings, etc, as in
SPECIFY COVERING LINEN or SPECIFY HEIGHT TALL
UNSPECIFY <category> - takes away one of your specifications.
Things to decide
----------------
Types means what type of piece - chair, stool, couch, and the like.
Materials include woods, metals, precious stones, and fabrics.
Coverings various fabrics and leather.
Linings same as coverings, but for the inside surfaces of things.
Colours many options, including variations for light/dark/pale, etc.
Finishes painted, lacquered, etc.
Specs high-gloss, matt, etc.
Shapes round, rectangular, and others.
Heights tall or short.
Widths broad or narrow.
Depths deep or shallow.
Styles from plain to fancy to ornate.
What do you HAVE to decide?

Almost nothing! You must decide what type of piece you want. Nothing else is
required. Omit material, covering, lining, finish, colour, etc - leave it all
out if you want. Or select them all. The choice is yours.
Contradictory or inconsistent options
-------------------------------------
Special note: if you pick something that would not work for the given item,
then the option will be ignored. Thus, if you try to give a lining to a table
(or anything else that isn't a container) then the lining option will be
ignored. You will not receive any error message. Likewise, if you choose
something else contradictory, such as a stone rug, then you will receive no
error, but the option will be ignored.
