4.1.1 SCORE
The first way to get information about your character is to type SCORE or SC.
This will give you a number of lines of information about the status of your
character. Below is an example of the result of this command when performed by
an adventurer named Nechar. (There is also a variant called QSC or

What it All Means
-----------------
Line 1: Name, gender, and race.
Line 2: what level of experience you have achieved,
the name of the level (in this case it is Empyreal),
and how far along to the next level you are.
Line 3: current and maximum health, current and maximum mana.
Line 4: current and maximum endurance, current and maximum willpower.
* What is Health?
Health is a measure of your current physical state.
If you fall to 0 health you will, in most cases, die.
During the course of a battle with another adventurer or denizen,
your health will go up and down quite quickly as you take damage and
(hopefully!) heal it.
* What is Mana?
Mana represents your current mental state.
Most magical activity uses mana. If you have no mana left,
you will not be able to use any magical abilities or cast spells.
* How does healing occur?
Healing your health may be done in a number of ways (see HELP REGEN).
The simplest way is to SLEEP and wait. Other methods are detailed in
HELP HEAL, but wait to read that scroll, as it is somewhat
complicated.
* How is Mana restored?
Mana may be restored by MEDITATE and waiting. HELP HEAL describes more
effective but more complicated methods. Also HELP REGEN.
* What about Endurance and Willpower?
Endurance is how tired your body is, or isn't.
Willpower is how tired your mind is, or isn't!
For instance, even though you have no obvious physical wounds, and you
are at full health, your endurance could be quite low. Running out of
endurance does not result in death. It just means that you will have
to rest for awhile before doing anything physical. Endurance is
regained slowly by simply sitting still, and more quickly by
sleeping.
Willpower works the same way, except that when you run out of
willpower, it is mental (generally magical) tasks that you will not
be able to perform. You will also find yourself more susceptible to
mental or telepathic attacks when your willpower is low.
Line 5: Your current Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, and Intelligence.
With rare exceptions, these do not change, unless you reincarnate
(see HELP REINCARNATION) to change race. See HELP STATS for info.
Line 6: Your current rank is in Achaea. Rank is based solely on your
experience level. Do not be disheartened if you are ranked lowly,
as there is definitely not a one-to-one correspondence between
success in Achaea and your rank.
Line 7: Your infamy for attacking other adventurers. HELP INFAMY will
tell you more.
Line 8: Your citizenry.
Line 9: Your rank in your city. HELP CITY RANKS.
Line 10: Your status withn your class. See HELP CLASS for stages.
Line 11: Your House and House rank.
Line 12: Your rank within the Explorers Fellowship. HELP EXPLORERS.
Line 13: Clans that you belong to. This could be multiple lines depending
on how many you have joined. HELP CLANS.
Line 14: Are you able to be a mentor. This line will not be there until you
are able to. HELP MENTORS.
Line 15: This line lists who you have chosen to be your mentor.
Line 16: Your age and when you were born. To see a listing of the months
of the year, type HELP CALENDAR.
