23.4.4 CUSTOMISATION

If you are looking for a bit more of a unique look, customized items may
be the way to go. This file outlines the commands needed to submit a
custom item and the rules surrounding them.

WHAT CAN BE CUSTOMISED
----------------------
You can customise any artifact purchased from Qeddwyn. You can customize fullplate armour which you have crafted. You may also customize falcons, golems, angels, Minipets, Druid quarterstaffs, and Magi elemental staffs.

CUSTOMISATION RESTRICTIONS
--------------------------
Everything not listed above. You cannot customise weapons, armour, clothing,
pets, vials, etc.

CUSTOMISATION EFFECTS
---------------------
A customised item will have any descriptions you decide to assign to it. If they do not currently reset to you, then they will not do it after customisations. Thus, if your newly customised armour is stolen, you will NOT be getting it back. The only exceptions are Shaman and Mage Staffs, which will be made to reset to you.

COSTS OF CUSTOMISATION
----------------------
Free:
   Golems, base-type warhounds, falcons.

100 credits:
   Shaman, Ascendril and Sciomancer staffs.
Customization certificates cannot be used for this as this upgrades the item
   into a resetting, non-decaying artifact.

75 credits:
   Minipet customizations.

50 credits:
   Everything else.

Changing an item's type (e.g. changing it from an amulet to a ring) will double the customization cost.

DESCRIPTION RESTRICTIONS
------------------------
The following types of items cannot have their type changed:
 - Minipets

i.e. a longsword must remain a longsword.

Your appearance descriptions must be less than 35 characters, and your dropped, death, leave, and enter messages must be less than 80 characters. If you do not submit a new description for a particular field, then the previous description will not be changed.

SUBMISSIONS
-----------
All customised items go through a process before they are approved. Make
sure that spelling and grammar is checked before submitting your
customisation. The proposal will not be approved even if it is a small
mistake. For example, one common mistake is the use of "it's" and "its",
where the former is a short version of "it is", while the second
indicates belonging or relating to a thing. Checking before submitting
lessens the workload on all parts and will bring the new look to your
item much faster!
