6.9 LIBRARIES
The Aetolian Library System provides an invaluable resource for the
scholars of the lands. Within a library, books and scrolls are
organized in categories and may be viewed at the library. Organizations
may appoint librarians who will stock and maintain the tomes, though
fees for library upkeep are drawn automatically from the organization's
coffers.
Libraries may be purchased by any organization. They may be kept
under heavy guard or left open to the public. For individuals wishing
to purchase a library, please see HELP HOUSES.
Anyone happening upon the library may use the following commands:
LIBRARY CATALOG [category]
- Displays a list of all texts stored in the library. These are
categorized by alphebetized subject matter and also indicate
the name of the author. Specifying a category will list only
those titles in that category.
LIBRARY CATEGORIES

LIBRARY COPY <book>
- Makes a copy of an existing book or scroll, assuming the scribe
has the required materials and funds on hand.
READ <book> [PAGE <page>]

Librarians may use the following commands:
LIBRARY ADD <book> [<category>]
- Takes a book from the librarian's inventory and adds it to the
appropriate existing category.

inventory.

LIBRARY CATEGORY ADD <category>

removed category will be moved to the Unsorted category.
LIBRARY UPKEEP [<amount>|ALL]

in working condition. Failure to pay upkeep will result in the
temporary closure of the library until the upkeep has been paid
in full.
LIBRARY PUBLIC/PRIVATE
- Sets the library to be public or private to the organization.
Public libraries can be accessed by all. Private ones can only
be used by the members of the organization that owns the library.
Private libraries cost three times the normal upkeep.
Note: If a private library is closed, it will be automatically
converted to a public library, though still remain closed.
