The Bahkatu Sleuth - Aetolia Online Help

The Bahkatu Sleuth

Seeking a solution to the undead scourge plaguing Ashtan, Queryn, a
Master of Seam-lore took it upon himself to manipulate the seams within
a group of islanders, instilling in them the knowledge of how to tilt
the Balance at will from Man to Beast. His experiments eventually
resulted in what today are known as the Bahkatu, a sleuth of
lycanthropes able to take on the form of the mighty bear, however, his
success was not without sacrifice, losing one of his sons and indeed his
own life to create a guild that could help save his homeland.

The Bahkatu possess all of the power and ferocity of their ursine
counterparts, and they use that strength in a relentless pursuit of the
undead. When these feral beasts release their concentration keeping them
in their mortal race, the natural essence of Lycanthropy grants the
Bahkatu a variety of skills, from tracking their prey to leading their
own packs. Through Ferality, a Bahkatu warrior learns the art of combat
by claws, bites, locks and rips. With their knowledge of Roaring, a
highly skilled Bahkatu may synchronize their roars, allowing them to lay
various effects simultaneously. They can chose from afflicting their
opponent with various effects to comforting themselves and their allies.
With this lethal combination of skills, they are well equipped to hunt.
Either alone or as a pack, they are known to tear their prey limb from
limb.

With the fall of their ancestral home, the Bahkatu, free of the
politics, ideals and influence of cities, now serve but one purpose - To
restore balance where the undead or their allies seek to oppress the
living, regardless of where that may be. Honoring the sacrifices of
their past every member of the Sleuth is expected to develop their
skills for the betterment of the pack, to fight to the end if necessary
beside their brethren and to follow the call of the pack leader without
question.

For those few who have the patience and discipline to master this unique
duality, the family of the Sleuth awaits.
