8.12 Changing Guilds
Before quitting your current guild, you first should check to see if you have
earned the rank of Journeyman or higher in your guild profession. Type
PROFESSIONS to see your learned professions and current ranks. If you are an
apprentice or lower, you will lose your profession and skills when your quit
the guild. You will, however, get some of the lessons you expended in return.
See HELP PROFESSION RANKS for more details. Once you're sure you're ready to
quit your guild, simply do QUIT <guild name>.
To summarize:
- If you quit your guild as a novice, you will lose the two guild skill
you have, and get back approximately the number of lessons you put into
them.
- If you quit your guild without having earned the journeyman profession
rank, you will lose your profession skills and get back 90% the lessons
you put into them.
- If you quit your guild after having reached the journeyman profession
rank, your skills will be unaffected.
