2.13 PACKS AND CONTAINERS
Packs and some containers can be very useful in many ways. Some things should NOT go into them, though (see below). For things that SHOULD go into packs and/or containers, here's how to use them properly: LOOK IN PACK - see what's inside of it. PROBE PACK - see the description of the pack, PLUS what's inside it. P PACK - same as PROBE PACK. PUT thing IN PACK - move something from your inventory into your pack. GET thing FROM PACK - move something out of your pack and into inventory. TAKE thing FROM PACK - same. "Thing" can be any thing you can hold, such as a sword, an herb, a book, some food, whatever, including gold sovereigns. You can also have a count of how many of the "thing" you want to move, in case you have more than one. "Thing" can include a name, a name and number, or just a number. See below for details. EXAMPLES -------- PUT BOOK IN PACK PUT BOOK143221 IN PACK PUT 143221 IN PACK PUT BOOK IN PACK28910 GET 2 BOOK FROM PACK GET 100 GOLD FROM PACK PUT 10000 GOLD IN BOX GET TRUFFLE FROM LETTER WHAT SHOULD NOT GO INTO PACKS/CONTAINERS ---------------------------------------- Some items should be kept in the pocketbelts, rather than in a pack or other physical container. Herbs, inks, commodities, and some other items should be kept in pocketbelts. See HELP POCKETBELTS for more details. If you have trained high enough in the planar skill, you may have access to an interdimensional rift which is similar to pocketbelts except it stores these items in a secure dimensional pocket that only you can access.
