19.10 Administrators
There are three Administrator characters. They are:
Astraea, Lady of Justice
Eirene, Lady of Peace
Eunomia, Lady of Law
There is a fourth Administrator, who oversees the other Administrators.
She is:
Themis, the Counsellor
There is also a separate Administrator for the Guides. She is:
Adrasteia, Administrator of the Guides
Purpose
-------
Admins are not Gods, though they have many powers of Gods. Unlike Gods, they have no role and are there entirely to deal with customer service. Should they ask you a question, please answer it.
A given Admin character is not always played by the same person. They are shells accessible by any member of the administration for the purpose of dealing with customer service issues out of role.
Background
----------
Astraea, Eirene, and Eunomia were Hellenistic (Greek) Goddesses that ruled over orderly life. Collectively, they were known as the Horai: the Hours.
In Midkemia they serve much the same purpose: as OOC Administrators to help ensure a friendly, bug-free, and enjoyable gaming experience.
The background of the Horai was chosen because it is clearly distinct from the mythos of Midkemia, and yet alludes to the purpose of the Admins.
