We are looking for players who are:
- experienced and knowledgeable about the game world
- excellent and creative writers
- self-starters
- reliable, disciplined, and able to meet deadlines
- passionate about making Achaea the BEST immersive experience possible!

The mortal building program is all about writing. It is heavily focused on revising and improving existing areas in Achaea. Primarily, this includes bringing outdated room descriptions up to our current standard of writing, as well as rewriting descriptions/dialogue/quests/attack messages for denizens. Very occasionally, there are opportunities to help develop new areas from scratch, but please be aware that this is not the norm!

To apply, send a plain-text email to builders@achaea.com with:
- Your real name and age, character name(s), and relevant writing experience (whether in Achaea, another MUD, or otherwise).
- A few sentences on why you would be a great builder.
- A short critique of an existing area in the game. What is good about it? What is lacking? How would you change it to improve it for other players?
- One flawless room description that would fit well within the area you critiqued. Be sure to have read HELP STYLE so you understand what we expect.
- Descriptions for one denizen who might be found in either of those rooms. (See HELP STYLE for this part as well).

If you were previously a mortal builder and wish to remain so, please re-apply!

All volunteer contributors to Achaea are required to sign a non-disclosure agreement, so you must be 18 years old (in real life) to apply.
