Lucrescent Nuts

I'd like to start off by apologising for the necessity of the following - it is very rare that we have to do something like this, and it's entirely on us for miscalculating the impact of the mechanics involved.

It only really became clear to us how widespread this issue is with the release of the new class, as general skill distribution isn't a metric that often comes up in day to day maintenance.

So, the issue. Lucrescent nuts.

Lucrescent nuts are and were supposed to be a relatively rare item, and when we placed them on the wheel in the most recent promotion, we were not expecting the sheer number of spins that we did. This had the unfortunate consequences of pumping far too many of these items into Achaea. In hindsight, we should have made them rarer prizes to prevent this outcome, but it's near-impossible to predict how a promotion will turn out before the fact.

When we introduced these consumables we mostly envisioned them as being used for trying out a new class to decide if you'd want to pick up said class down the line. Instead, due to the sheer volume in the game, many players can and do effectively have this bonus up constantly, without any investment in their classes.

In order to remedy our mistake, as of today, all Lucrescent nuts will have a 90 day decay time and the effect of a Lucrescent nut will last one hour. This effect will not stack.

We're aware that a number of you will have traded these between you in the past at higher values than these now inspire, or might feel that this short-changes a previously made investment. In order to counter this, all existing Lucrescent nuts will be able to be traded in for 2 bound credits until the end of November.

Additionally, if you feel you're an extreme case and have lost out significantly due to this change for whatever reason, contact me and we can try to work something out.
