Art and Beauty Reconciled

On the 16th of Ero, 584 AF, a hushed stillness fell over the deep waters
of Lake Muurn. Frigid winds turned the water's surface to ice, bringing
several days of ice skating escapades to Cyrene, with the help of
special boots and a practical lesson from the clever toymaker in Caer
Witrin.

That same month, followers of Lord Scarlatti claimed their own prize
from Muurn: several shards of the astonishing ice. Observing their
patron's regret at the pain he brought centuries ago to the Goddess of
Love, the Scarlatans faithfully assisted him in a ritual to breathe
life into the shards, creating a unique gift born of song.

Neither hasty welcome nor swift pardon did Selene offer to the Great
Bard in return for his gift of friendship, but eventually she relented,
ending both her own suffering, and his. Thus concludes a rued love, and
begins a new amity between Scarlatti and Selene, Art and Beauty
reconciled at last.

Penned by My hand on the 3rd of Miraman, in the year 586 AF.
