The Muffin

You do not crush the muffin,
you embrace the muffin.
Blueberry, chocolate,
banana, cranberry.
Make sweet food love to the muffin.
Do not think dirty thoughts.

You do not squash the muffin,
you cuddle the muffin.
Put butter on it,
chew it nicely,
treat it like your kids,
the ones you don't want to strangle.

You do not spit out the muffin,
you eat it and like it.
Chew that pastry goodness
until the crumbs trickle down
and you're a complete mess.
I mean food wise.

You do not say no to the muffin,
for it has feelings to,
look at its cute face
the one that it lacks.
Won't you hug it?
Isn't it sweet?

You do not write a poem about muffins,
for you will get hungry,
and run out of lines.
But it bothers me not
for I am sitting here,
eating some bacon.

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Chronos, in the year 606 AF.
