Some Beirdd Advice

Many masks I've wrought and worn
a Priest, a Clown, and more besides
it kept my soul from being born
caught up it was in crossing tides.
Then a woman wise in mindways said,
Be a single soul, not five!
She kept me well from walking dead:
in single steps I thrill and thrive!
So learn to choose, and keep the choice
and boredom fear--it smashes love.
The path you walk's your poet's voice:
as wild as hell and god's above.

Penned by my hand on the 24th of Sarapin, in the year 607 AF.
