The embrace that smoothers - Part 1

Come to engage, you said
When I was of innocence
And we'll ever step aside
"Come to me!", you said

There soon I was to be
I had to run with my bones
My heart, you hasted me
But "run" you said - I ran

And there and then
I behold that a time will come
When again alone I will be
You told me to leave without delay

So I left with a ring for you
And my tears in my hands
With the shadows of the sky
I ran and merged with dusk

After all these years you left me
Down in the emotional depths
All the beautiful moments shared
Suddenly pushed aside

Penned by my hand on the 10th of Daedalan, in the year 607 AF.
