Subj: The Gift of Air

What is Air but power immeasurable?
What is Air but the breath of life?
What is Air but the Great Regulator?

Air-- a power not seen or with which one can grapple
But felt across the cosmos.
Who dares to stand against the mighty gale?
No tree digs deep enough, no fire burns hot enough,
No castle stands strong enough
That Air cannot uproot, quench, or cast down.
Foolish is he who thinks to rule the power of Whiirh.

Air-- a giver of life and gift from the Gods.
In the last moments of mortal life
It is for Air that we plead, for Air that we gulp.
It is the gentle breeze that sighs in the forest
And tickles the petals of Lady Melantha's gardens
And brings the smell of spring and renewal.
Blessed is he who breathes the succor of Whiirh.

Air-- the Great Regulator of our time.
It pushes the fires across the lands
To cleanse the forests and establish balance.
The weather is a servant to its desires,
changing and shifting as it is beckoned.
What man can claim the same?
Honoured is he who submits himself to the control of Whiirh.

Glory and Honour and Laud be given
To the Gift of Air.

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Scarlatan, in the year 607 AF.
