Comfortable Stagnation

Stagnation is a cruel mistress,
Enfolding with warm caress,
As you lie and snuggle in,
Until you whither into Sin.

Comforting Sloth, the familiar embrace,
Never realizing its deadly face.
Routinely circling the same affairs,
Where's your courage? Your cares?

Ah but the same is nice is it not?
To lounge and cuddle until you rot?
Never daring for the new,
Because you fear it, yes, you do.

So let's wallow in Stagnation,
She's quite the pretty nation,
Of lazy sloths and jealous guards,
Who lustfully cling to mindless wards.

Penned by my hand on the 21st of Glacian, in the year 612 AF.
