Midnight Blue

Midnight Blue

I followed my lover home tonight
and held her in my arms
on a blanket
midnight blue

Outside above the heavens twined
the silent moon cradles
the world below
in argent embrace

Across the celestial sphere the moon
found one true pure lover
to watch and hold
eternally ardent

What power rules and rides this realm
so that false love commands
and pure devotion
must wait

On midnight blue beneath the moon
my lover's clement arms
give reply to
the moon and I

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Lupar, in the year 616 AF.
