Distance

Written by: Kohilo Vorondil-Crescent

Our hearts but not our paths are joined
For rapturous league they ran together
And we taught our hearts to love each other
Now oft to different vales they wander
From ridge to ridge I catch a glimpse
Distant you your path pursuing
I stand and long for those places
Where again our paths combine
Again wandering hands entwined
Our hearts to reacquaint

I cannot see beyond the hills
Know not where the joyous places are
Where my heart and yours can move together
But know that when I glimpse you distant
I turn my feet towards that point
Where once more I might
My beloved embrace

Penned by my hand on the 25th of Aeguary, in the year 617 AF.
