The 13th of Chronos

I remember looking at the night's sky
When the darkness came to claim us all
When the moon dulled, the stars shone bright
And gave me comfort to fight the fall

I remember closing my ears to listen
As the world's Song began to wane
I feared that I would soon grow deaf
Had not a true note eased my pain

A star to light my way
A tune to keep me sane
A will as pure as mountain ice
A reason to fight
My heart, my life

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Phaestian, in the year 620 AF.
