Poetry News Post #4274

Long past due

Written by: Aedilex Pharos, Lisbethae Etienne Le'Murzen-Sparrow

Dear Divine Voice of Someone Powerful
How many times have You patiently whispered
The root of our problems
Encouragement to correct ourselves

How many times have You rescued us
How many times have You averted disaster
How many times have You shown us
What should be as plain as the nose on our faces

And not complained.
But were patient.

In the face of our own mortal ignorance.

And I don't know how often You are thanked.

We thank You.

I thank You.

Thanks!

Penned by my hand on the 21st of Phaestian, in the year 620 AF.
