Targossas

On Zaphar's gilt crown
Delosian sire rose near
The low hills of far Sundown
Veiled by argentine Mirror

Strength thought spent was found
Over six wandering years
Waters cleaved, haven rose round
the golden Dawn's spear

Naxos and Greathorn
Sentinels of bright Spear
By sword they were born
On conflagrant bier

Acacia and Averrone
With high bridges sing
To Veil's End, Ram, Blackstone
and Brighthold, Seat of Kings

Dim censer and clear lantern
Vigilant in parlous eve
On steps of blue ziggurats
To Black and Gold we'll cleave

Indigo terraces hewn
Exultant raptors alight
While alchemists pen missives
on Naxine tiers bright

Flying from brilliant crown
Through twin glistening green falls
silvern waters course down
For Eusia they're called

The dim Bay gives Solace
'neath embattled massy weir
Anost and Beladan range
Round placid Duskmere

On Shornwall the great bulwark
Farers haggle from the shore
Whilst the foaming white breakers
Crash at Lemnian door

Arisen from sapphire deeps
Bold Aarash and grey Caefir
Thrice girded with fiery quest
from Light and Fire revered

Generations of faithful
bear allegiant hearts at dawn
While pale consecrants attend
Banner and arms drawn

A Sea-child rose to assay
Treading across the sands
Standing there, to him I said
Welcome to the promised land

Our future looks uncertain
Under evening skies of gold
But the shield of day stands true
Ever may it hold.

Penned by my hand on the 24th of Daedalan, in the year 623 AF.
