Subj: My Child

Intense heat fills the room
emanating from the womb of the forge
within this uterus, my child is being formed
I lift the unformed material from its protected chamber
I lay its glowing form upon the anvil, pounding my hammer
I start to form the unformed mass, working quietly with focus
I reheat the slowly forming mass of my unborn child within its hot womb
as my work continues, my joy grows with its slowly shaping form
hopes are high for the birth, my hammer is light in my hand
as I pull the armour from its hot, fiery, blazing chamber
I raise my hammer again, letting it fall onto it's form
hot metal sparks before me as the sound echoes around
I have high hopes for this young fullplate

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Glacian, in the year 624 AF.
