drought

Dry dry dry
In the desert of the mind
the oasis of life
Skin flakes and falls off
quenched only in the rare
rainfall of the land
Huzzah zah zah the fife
Tell tales that derive
guffaw and cough
Never trust those that pander
through need and candor

Penned by my hand on the 9th of Scarlatan, in the year 627 AF.
