What is a tree?

A tree is many things,

It is the shade in the summer,
Its the protection from the rainstorm.
It is the life of the forest,
for what is a forest without a tree.

A tree gives us fruit when we are hungry,
Gives us firewood when we are cold,
and gives us safety from wild animals.
What are we without trees?

What are we to a tree?
We are but a passing momment,
A whisper in the wind.
We are but a part of the life around it.
For it may outlive us all.

Penned by my hand on the 24th of Chronos, in the year 630 AF.
