New Beginnings

Bloody handprints
pitter, patter
laugh in madness
watch them shatter.

Drip and drop
to see it well
prayers beget
an empty shell.

Soon an end
with new beginnings
sacrificial lambs'
pale bleatings.

Turn to black stars
see them shine
fathomless beauty
cold and mine.

Sway and swing
upon that tree
where whips dangle
birds do flee.

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Lupar, in the year 639 AF.
