Poetry News Post #4466

Dormant Beast

Written by: Sylvan Fellow Marv

It comes, it takes, it doesn't mind
About those who are left behind.
It came again, but it's not the same
This time it's you that it took away.

Mother, lover, sister, friend
None of those, yet so much more.
No more reasons to pretend
You're the one that I adore.

I won't shed no tears,
No reason for me to cry,
Because every thought of you
Will always make me smile.

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Lupar, in the year 639 AF.
