Mute

Could you tell me if you would
Why the clouds are colourless?
Why are crowns so precious?
Why do the things they say we should?

Tell me have you seen
Diamonds in the crowd?
Tell me have you ever been
Told you sing too loud?
or told you're not allowed?

Sing to the hate and anger
Sing that you'll never give up
Sing so the lost can hear us
As they stumble on

And we can stumble on.

Could you tell me just once more
Why we always play it safe?
Why does my heart hesitate
To find a truth worth dying for?

Tell me have you seen
Fire in their eyes?
Tell me have you even been
Told your dream's not right?

Or to forsake your fight?

Sing to the hate and anger
Sing that you'll never give up
Sing so the lost can hear us
As they stumble on

And we can stumble on.

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Aeguary, in the year 640 AF.
