Black Rose

Fragrant beauty, dark and lovely
deep like the night sky
dawn's far starlight,
you draw blood. you are narcotic.
in draws tamed beasts
eyes gleaming and round for your favor,
the predators.
The beggars fall back
when season turns you to lament
upon days of light.
your obsidian grace pollutes the wide sea
as the chilling airs make dry hollows sing.

Penned by my hand on the 17th of Aeguary, in the year 648 AF.
