Morte Concordiam

Palpable darkness in the unending reach of nothing
Textured madness becomes a swirling reality
A note becomes barely audible from a great distance

Eyes searching wildly to find a semblance of structure
Heart pounding in a rush of unbridled panic
The note becomes louder

Teeth grinding and cracking, tounge bloodied and ripped
Legs burning in an endless, uphill climb
Another note joins the first

A light, faint, then brighter
Growing fear guiding the hunger developing
The two notes contruct a simple, minor harmony

Walking, running, sprinting
A semblance of a window begins to take shape
Another note joins the first two

A look through the glass reveals a simple room
Three faceless entities stand in a circle
The three notes for a minor triad

A closer look reveals more about the entities
Gaping, veritcal mouths with shifting, jagged teeth
The harmony grows louder

One of the entities slowly raises an elongated arm
A finger like a blade points to the door
The harmony begins to twist, morphing into a major triad

Trembling hands slowly open the door
A red light begins to pour out from the crack
The harmony grows louder

Painfully sore arms continue to open the door
The entrance to the room is bathed in a red glow
The harmony grows louder

Bloody, wounded feet step into the doorway
Bloodshot eyes adjust to the bright, red light
The harmony grows louder

Ears begin to bleed, sending pain shooting through the battered body
The three entities are now looking in the same direction
The harmony grows louder

A triune voice shatters the triad
The room grows still
The harmony stops

"Close the door, won't you dear? You're letting the cold out"

Vision returns in a rush
Three, eyeless faces consume the visual spectrum
The mouths are open, shifting teeth turning in a jagged oval
A note
A second note
A third note
A fourth note

The four of you stand in a circle, facing each other
Grotesque, vertical mouths open wide
A four part harmony rings throughout the red
The resonant frequency of flesh weaving together
The Death Harmony is complete

Penned by my hand on the 5th of Aeguary, in the year 652 AF.
