My Beloved Teacher

"You can be as special as you believe yourself to be"
That my beloved teacher said to us on day one
We then turned his school into a madhouse
Special people don't sit still very well

He shook his fists at us then his head
But guess what I caught shining in his eyes
A mischievous glint no duller than mine
As he berated his "insolent youths"

My beloved teacher the believer of dreams
Not just in his own but in ours too
Not once did he try to make us a line
Not even to bring order to his house

And so I came to the idea
My beloved teacher runs not a school
In fact he runs nothing at all
He is no administrator not he

Thank you O teacher
Your open heart has opened mine
Your lack of judgement freed my mind
I know now you only ever have one lesson to teach

Penned by my hand on the 16th of Daedalan, in the year 657 AF.
