Poetry News Post #4707

another sunrise

Written by: Nixxe Ashaela, Scarlatti's Weaver of Imagination

Sunrise warming the cool desert air
rocks holding on to cold in heat scare
flower faces turning to see the commotion
reptiles contemplating their promotion
rodents retrieving to burrow
packed in tight and thorough
last gasp of moisture
oasis of cloister
night ends and day begins

Penned by my hand on the 10th of Scarlatan, in the year 657 AF.
