Poetry News Post #4709

Mankind

Written by: Dajio

Where do I go now that I'm alone?
I suppose wherever the hell I please
The cards are handed and no I didn't plan to plan it
But the sands are falling fast and there's no room for landing

In the skies I can fly solo
Made that decision, all on my own
The sounds of the mouths that deaf ears make
Rip the heart from the chest and leave Chaos in the wake

Like gold you find intention
And though you didn't spend it
The fact remains you passed
On a chance to lend it

I suppose one day I'll stop
when the blocks from the pieces connect
And the minds no longer
divide the heart in respect

Penned by my hand on the 16th of Chronos, in the year 657 AF.
