The Shatter Echoes

"The Shatter Echoes"

The sky weeps
As the world sleeps.
Gentle whispers in my ear;
Do you mean them?

The sound of your voice
Echoes in my sleep.
Your face haunts
My every waking Dream.

Grey clouds
And quiet sounds.
Tears falling like diamonds;
Was my love not enough?

The memories I hold so dear
Are just within your reach.
Is it inability, or reluctance,
That keeps you from reaching out?

My heart of glass
Rested in your love.
You look away,
And the shatter echoes.

Penned by my hand on the 15th of Aeguary, in the year 658 AF.
