Innocent Cruelty

FORWARD RECOVERY

Shackled to sabulous thought, and
Osculant trespasses wrought, a
Nocturne, imprisoned,
Impelled but to listen,
Manacled, captived and caught.

COULE?

Excrucio,
Lacerating wind repairing,
Excrucio,
Growling floe, endangered below,
Inhumed, baptismal dress wearing,
Swallowing water, unsparing,
Excrucio.

INSISTENCE

Silent a seething star burns to behold,
Essayed escape through cool waters falling,
Midsummer swelters too rarely parole, but
Mock by degrees the aqueous calling,
Orphic, her mystery captures a gull,
Hung if by Vastar with strings overhead,
Diving, encircling breezes what lull,
Ravishing, whispering words left unsaid,
Umber lips parting, an Sefyric smile,
Echoing ancient and violent passion,
Gorging monstrosity, nonpareil style,
Neatly devours in consummate fashion,
Advise for sailors what shelter ashore:
Merciless waves are sireni allure.

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Daedalan, in the year 662 AF.
