Goodbye, Father

Written by: Gem Smith Amarillys Anemides

Oh, please, my Father, may I go outside,
I so would like to see the world today.
Oh, please, my Father, may I go and play?
Oh, how I wish I did not have to hide.
Oh, my Father, how you have always lied,
You always tell me to whom I must pray,
You always tell me what I have to say.
Oh, my Father, how I have always cried.

No more, Father, no more! Now I am free.
No more, Father, no more! Now I am gone.
The world is there, accepting of me.
So I will grow strong, I will not be wan,
I will stretch so high, growing like a tree.
Welcome my Father, this is my new dawn.

Penned by my hand on the 22nd of Daedalan, in the year 663 AF.
