Falling Stars

How gentle a cacophony, when stars
Within the Vault cease their glittering Dance
To rub elbows with peasants of the earth,
Show'ring souls with splend'rous rare trinkets.
The stars seem not to mind their treasure's fate
Still bathing the night sky with lantern light
And those that never see these splendors true
Lay humbly down upon the earthy loam
And watch the celestial puzzles amass.
But then there are those who do not see worth
In gazing up, or grasping fresh starlight
Instead they seek to wait with bubbling glee
For firmament uprising to begin
For stars to plummet violently to earth
Not with a graceful leap but with a crash
To shatter the idleness of the land
And open eyes to chaos close at hand.

Penned by my hand on the 4th of Miraman, in the year 666 AF.
