Time for Mayaween

The time has come, the time is here
The time for some, to laugh at fear
Mayaween time, has scares for all
Put on your masks, and we'll have a ball

Hide behind faces, you wish you could wear
Look upon evil, thrill in the scare
But know it's fake, all rubber and paint
Truth below skin, for both sinner or saint

Mirth to forget, but not for long
Time marches on, that siren's song
Loud does it beckon, pulling you on
No resisting, until you are gone

So have fun for now, until you're interred
Imbibe and frolic, until life is blurred
But the sirens still sing, hear their last call
That time has come, for no time at all

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Daedalan, in the year 697 AF.
