Poetry News Post #4959

bite the bait

Written by: Nixxe Ashaela, Scarlatti's Amber Weaver of Imagination

To think a thought was bought
we furiously fought a good fight
finding the site that was sought
across the moat with might
too wrapped up to catch what you caught
will be for naught without night
angle right and metal wrought
the quote wasn't correct quite
but collar tight, we taught
to burdon the blight
white knows hardly aught
supernumerary in concern of light
then at a great height, all view the haught

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Scarlatan, in the year 697 AF.
