Brotherhood Under the Blade

Brotherhood under the blade
Tis oft forged
When mistakes are dangerously made
When the tides of war
Stem the tides of peace
When lives are lost under the sword
And resurrections do not cease

Tis a brotherhood under the blade
That tis forged when lives and spells
Threaten, entice, excite, cause strength to fade
When all that you know can disappear at a thought
When all that you know tis gone
When all that you worked for tis for aught
When life is snuffed out, as in the end of a song

Brotherhood under the blade
What for men do fight
What for do men pray
How can anything strengthen a bond so
Than that of war, when your lives
Are in your brothers hands though
For them, the victor is he who has no more to give

Brotherhood under the blade
He who gives all
His memory does not fade
His honour tis a light shining bright
Lifting spirits
In even the darkest of night
His brothers shall always hear it

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Lupar, in the year 697 AF.
