Poetry News Post #4964

another year, another trip

Written by: Nixxe Ashaela, Scarlatti's Amber Weaver of Imagination

another day of mountain ranges
opening up before us
another way to connect
with our roots

breathing in that crisp new air
watching changing seasons
smelling that sweet atmosphere
on the drive in the land of suns

a place at the table
awaits me
leather and sable
wine imbibe me

looking forward to fish and chips
trying to decide which dessert
to meet my lips
a pleasure to being inert

Penned by my hand on the 25th of Sarapin, in the year 698 AF.
