Love's Last Goodbye

The journey back from Istar, should only take a day.
Thats what she told herself when she set out on the way.

She loved to walk and sing, Her spirit loved to soar,
But the cold tugged at her heals, always taking more.

She had a bow for game, and arrows in her quiver.
of hunting there was none, she soon began to shiver.

Her caloric vial empty, her food in short supply,
The tundra boys, the tundra, is an lonely place to die.

She kept on and on, no feeling in her feet,
Hoping beyond all hope a friendly face she'd meet.

She met her fate at last gazing at the sky,
Her eyelids frozen open, a smile love's last goodbye.

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Miraman, in the year 698 AF.
