Eye of the Storm

Saltiness in the air,
with the wind through our hair.
I could get used to this,
This is bliss.

I love your beautiful smile,
I could just stare for a while.
As we sit to rocks and sways,
we can feel the water sprays.

This could be a beautiful life,
me with my future wife.
Caught in the illusional haze,
oh, I could do this for days.

Alas, the time is near,
the one I have come to fear.

It's this journey we share,
ravaged by cold air.
We look at all we have,
but still oh so sad...

We run to each other,
in hope to take cover.
The storm is relentless,
though I think...
We can win this.

I can see the the calm ahead,
but, now we are here.
struck with awe and fear,
and filled with undeniable dread.

We are only halfway...
Still we can find a way!
So take my hand,
it's going to be grand.

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Scarlatan, in the year 702 AF.
