Leavespath: While I Sit on a Gentle Shore

While I Sit on a Gentle Shore

I gaze out into the vast horizons,
On a beach,
Feeling the waves lap at my feet,
The winds tousle my hair,
Watching the pelican as he swoops down,
Piercing the waves with his beak,
searching for a meal.
I inhale.
Who knew that such a simple action could bring such delight?
Refreshing my mind and soothing my soul.
I exhale.
Oh, if only the Winds and the Waves could live in such harmony for eternity,
Content,
To live out in a way of peace and tranquility,
Then they could both be free.
If such a way were so,
I'd be content to sit here,
Feeling the winds tousle my hair,
The waves lap at my feet,
As I gaze out into these vast horizons.

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Valnuary, in the year 705 AF.
