Fly High, Little Sparrow

Fly High, little sparrow
Worry not about your wings
For those trying to shoot you down
Know not much of anything

Fly High, little sparrow
For even with your broken foot
Your toes may be small
But with your ability to fly it is moot

Fly High, little sparrow
Can you not feel the air
Coming beneath your wings as you soar
Others jealous, bitter, down there

Fly High, little sparrow
You are so high that they cannot see
That with your little unique traits
You are strong, brave, lovely

Fly High, little sparrow
And when time comes for you to rest
Know that others secretly applaud you
For with your injuries, you were the best

Penned by my hand on the 25th of Glacian, in the year 709 AF.
