A paid for poem

After the other month I set out to write a poem for you Qwyn. I wanted something better than the twenty second one I gave you before. I do hope you enjoy this one. I have titled it, Life of A Poet.

The words of the poet
Bindeth himself to the quill
Forever beneath the winding stairs
Of Art's grasping chill

Let Art's true talent be seen
Whilst the poet doth intone
For each word that is written
Comes from the unknown

Caught in the grasp of the truth
The poet beseeches the scroll
That every word inscribed
Leaves traces of the poets' soul

When true words find their way
And the poem is finally complete
Let the proud poet know
For they accomplished quite the feat

Penned by my hand on the 25th of Daedalan, in the year 714 AF.
