Wings hoisting my heart

To my tender playful angel,
with her radiant open heart.
We have left our tribulations
far behind, see them depart.
Now we take a leap together
let our enchanted story start!

My tenacious, gentle angel,
from my eagle's perch I scan
as your wings of pink and velvet
reach their regal dragon span.
And I marvel, and I am humbled:
"she's taken me to be her man!"

Since that pond where I first held you
and felt you make my world alright,
I realized being your beloved
would be the gem of my delight.
I know your haven is your grove,
would you let me be its fine sunlight?

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Glacian, in the year 716 AF.
