Your Colours

Furrowed brow and brooding gaze,
Brilliant hazel flecked with blue.
The world around us seemed a haze
On the night I first met you.

Pearly white and luscious pink,
Not a care of places to be.
Slicked-back shadow making me think
You might be the end of me.

A bottemless sea of black among
The hazel fields, drawing me in.
I wonder as we go along:
Will I see the morn again?

Death lurks here, among our joy,
A bitter feeling, deep inside.
I know to you, I'm just a toy,
But in this place, with you, I've died.

Viridian walls dark, roses gone grey
Dull colours and fading light.
Prayers to every God to stay
Forever with you, here on this night.

The garden wilts as we walk by,
Every flower dead to me.
You've cast a spell, I know. I sigh.
One that lasts unto eternity.

Twilight paints the sky dark hues,
But I see the moon's reflection, gold.
I'd give it all, the world to lose,
To always have your hand to hold.

I know the sun is soon to rise.
A beacon marking, up above,
When last I'll see your lonesome eyes,
When last I'll know your colours, your love.

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Glacian, in the year 724 AF.
