How long has it been?

How many days went by, how many days have gone?
How long has it been since the day you went on?

You told me:
This time, it's my final trek
For our bruised hearts, is is the last shipwreck
When Aeguary comes, I'll be back with the doves
And Ero's a nice month to be talking of love
We'll see the Silverveil on the Argent Phoenix
We'll pass under the bridge and its memorial wicks

Say, how far did you go?
Say, at least do you know?
That every passing day

Has been taken away?
That all the time we lost
Has taken quite a cost?

Aeguary ran away a long long time ago,
Dead leaves crackle underfoot, the oven's aglow,
Targossas is lovely in this Glacian morn
Suddenly I stop there, I daydream and I mourn
I sway, I capsize and just like the ebbing tide
Coming, going, rolling and crawling I do bide...
Your face is haunting me, and I whisper to you
Is love driving me mad, yes I am mad of you!

Say, how far did you go?
Say, at least do you know?
That every passing day

Has been taken away?
That all the time we lost
Has taken quite a cost?

And while I love you still, and will love you forever
And while I love you only, and as true as ever...
If you cannot understand that you must return
I will turn our story in a gentle nocturne
And I'll take to the roads with only a compass
I am not one of those who succumb of sadness

And I've not the virtue of a mariners's wife...

Say, how far did you go?
Say, at least do you know?
That every passing day

Has been taken away?
That all the time we lost
Has taken quite a cost?

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Aeguary, in the year 727 AF.
