Is this a time for anyone to be pleased?

You said that Lord Sartan was pleased to see Shallam destroyed, with the
implication that He is pleased at the entirety of what happened. Is this
truly the appropriate reaction to recent events? To be sure, there are no
doubt many who disliked the city of Shallam and the Te'Serra, and will
shed no tears over their loss. But what about all the other losses?
Ashaxei, Hermes, Kastalia, Matsuhama, Selene...who could claim that the
deaths of any of these was a good thing? Lord Aeon, perhaps the greatest
of the gods outside the Pentad, found himself with no option other than
to give his own life in order to avert disaster. Even among the Pentad,
Lord Daedalus and the Great Mother are gone.Think on that a moment:
Through the machinations of the Lords of Evil, Maya, once the greatest
being in all of reality, felt She had no recourse but to sacrifice
Herself. The Logos' chosen successor is no more, and Sartan dares to be
pleased at how things turned out?

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Chronos, in the year 613 AF.
